Buying health insurance can be confusing for consumers, and AI tools hold promise for helping them curate options, identify coverage gaps, and streamline communication between providers and payers. However, engaging customers on their terms poses a challenge for health insurers, since they need to determine which individuals are most (and least) inclined to use AI, as well as their preferred tools and the best points to integrate AI.
